Want to see a curvy chick that doesn’t have a waste you can fit in one hand bust same ass? Try Explosive Proof. She’s sexy without the often-obligatory cleavage and look, no full-grown woman in a cheerleader skirt. How, what do they call it, refreshing. Seriously, comic book creators, it’s not that hard and Explosion Proof proves that with some a$$-kicking.
The action in Matthew Grant‘s ode to explosive women is non-stop. ”EeePee” is busting a$$ and blowing $hit up from page one. It’s fun. And the art, while it stylistically is a little stiff at times, the layout is often wonderful and I found myself sometimes thinking that it was quite smart. The use of blank backgrounds might seem lazy but I think that the cover proves that it’s all intentional.
In terms of script, it’s high-concept but lacking some of the details that would make it outstanding. There is ***swallow*** sometimes too much action and not enough time to take a breath and care about what EeePee is really doing and why. All read and done, I look forward to seeing what else Matthew Grant is up to and what EeePee will be blowing up next.
