Here we have a perfect example of who Jacqueline/Aero-Girl is. She’s a young woman who is trying to show her parents that she is not a little girl anymore and can stand on her own two feet. It also illustrates that she is a classic over achiever who only wants to make her dad proud.
This story is just as much about Jacqueline’s life outside of her alter ego, as it is when she is in costume. The events of the first issue change not only irreveversibly change not only her life but also her family dynamic as well. Jacqueline’s mom is the anchor that keeps her from losing herself in the world of superheroics and keeps her grounded in “reality”.
