Craig Sullivan has just fled a botched heist attempt to steal the staff of the so-called African Spider God: Anansi. He’s just found out that he didn’t really escape, but was allowed to flee just far enough to determine where his friends were hiding.
Anansi has been likened to the trickster god, Loki. His powers of stealth, illusion, infiltration and deception are many and varied.
JM Ringuet’s fantastic coloring skills portray, in vivid detail, the way we see aesthetically pleasing New Orleans cathedrals like this one, near Bourbon Street. Not with beautifully intact stained glass windows, but with an insidious spider-demon thrashing through them with murder on its mind.
