The D’Honneur’Bane: Winter
B’Lynn, a ten year old child forced into a life of prostitution by her Father, is inadvertently freed by a legendary D’Amère warrior. She joins him on a year long journey across the war ravaged land of V’Alisia seeking the secluded home of the Ra’Jinjet’Na, a mystic society of warrior assassins. As they journey through the seasons, they face many challenges, and are beset by countless warriors, duty bound and glory seeking alike. As B’Lynn wrestles with her fear and struggles to overcome her tortured past, she begins to unravel the mysterious origin of the warrior who will have a profound effect on her life.
Kicking off the series with the first book, Winter, a 33-page illustrated novella, now available for instant download at jaredwl.com, and priced at $7.95, The D’Honneur’Bane features a black, white and red color palette showcasing Lindenberg’s lushly organic inks.
“What started out as a simple writing exercise attempting to emulate my favorite author, Andrew Vachss, evolved into this multi-volume epic that began to virtually write itself,” said Lindenberg. “There are so many overlapping layers and elements to be explored, this isn’t just a tale of revenge. Add to that illustrations inspired by one of my favorite inkers, Gene Colan, I simply can’t wait to share it with my readers.”
Winter is the first in a five book volume entitled Seasons, and will continue with two future volumes, Prides, and Circles. Fans of Lindenberg have eagerly been salivating for this multi-volume series, and the combination of his writing in sync with his already much loved illustration skills is sure to be a knockout with fans and new readers alike.
