Bluewater Productions introduces a new biography comic book featuring Tom Daley. British diver Tom Daley made quite a splash at the 2012 Olympic games with his winning personality, boyish good looks and impressive physique.
Fame: Tom Daley is written by Michael Troy and drawn by Alex Schumacher telling the inspiring young swimmer’s tale of triumph and tragedy from his Olympic success to the loss of his father and his rise as a reality TV celebrity.
The new comic book that is released this week features a cover by Jon Woodard and colors by Martin Green.
“Tom Daley is a true inspiration and shining example of the perseverance of the human spirit. Worth his weight in Olympic Gold”, said writer Michael Troy.
“Working on the Tom Daley book was a lot of fun. With just a few panels a page I was able to experiment and be creative with the layouts/design”, said artist Alex Schumacher.
Bluewater is working with UK on Display to distribute the comic book in print in the UK.
“We wanted to showcase people in today’s society that have inspired generations and shaped the culture of today,” said Bluewater Productions publisher, Darren G. Davis. “Kids and adults alike can look up to these people as great role models. One of the coolest things about the comic books is that we found schools using them for reluctant readers.”
Bluewater has focused specific titles for both the US and the UK such as being released this week “Tribute: Margaret Thatcher. Also now available is Fame David Beckham, Fame: One Direction, Fame: Robbie Williams, Female Force; Lady Almina: The real Downton Abbey, The Royals and Female Force: Princess Diana.
